Rejoicing greatly!  The Admissions Committee met yesterday and accepted 20 students.  Of those, 15 are for the Spring 2013 cohort of the Specific Ministry Pastor program.  Five are Master of Divinity students.  We have an additional 34 Master of Divinity applications in the process of being prepared for the Admissions Committee.  We continue to pray for our applicants and those accepted.

When Christmas and New Year’s have passed and the season of Epiphany begins, you will find many great opportunities to come and visit Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. Shepherds of God’s Flock is January 10th. This event is geared toward those who are second career and those in college. It will help answer questions reagrding the nature of the vocation. Green and Gold Day is January 11. Remember, this event is for college students who are considering seminary. It is situated perfectly at a time when most college students are still on break. Finally in January, is Taste of the Sem. This time honored event will help high school students see pastoral formation. They will have a seminary student mentor, attend classes, and will take an in-depth look at the Lord’s Prayer with the help of the faculty.

Our Campus Store is now on-line!  Our students order there textbooks on-line from another source but Sem gear, books written by our professors, CD’s by the Seminary Chorus, etc. are now available in the Campus Store and on-line.  Check what’s available at https://store.csl.edu/

A blessed Thanksgiving! 

The entire Office of Admissions has a great deal for which we are thankful.  Each of us will be spending the next few days with family and friends near and far.  We are blessed to serve here at Concordia Seminary where the focus is on forming men and women for ministry.  We are thankful for the relationships we have with all who inquire and apply for admission.  Each member of our staff, full-time and student workers, is where we are today because God continues to guide and bless His people and their gifts for use in service. The Admissions Committee met this afternoon.  We are pleased that six applicants were accepted this month.  Master of Divinity – 3, Deaconess – 1, and SMP – 2.  We pray God’s blessings as these applicants move forward with completing entrance exams and other requirements.
