Back from the North

Until last week I could only tell people I had been to North Dakota because I stayed at a hotel once in Fargo, just across the MN state line. After last week I feel a little better about saying I have been there after having stopped at churches and schools in Fargo, Jamestown, and Bismarck. I thank the Lord for the people I met and that He is using each and every one of them in His service. I am also thankful that a few of these men and women are considering the pastoral ministry and the diaconate.
I want to say a special thank you to the teachers and students of Zion Lutheran School-Bismarck, Grace Lutheran School-Fargo, and Zion Lutheran School-Alexandria, MN. for letting me come in and enjoy some time with you in your classrooms.
Of course I cannot leave the congregations out. I want to thank all of those congregations that opened their doors for me to visit. Thank you Eastern Heights, Beautiful Savior, Immanuel, and Concordia. Thank you for the encouragement that you are giving to men and women in your congregation and those around the area.
Finally, last but not least, I want to thank the whole crew at Concordia-St. Paul. I always enjoy my visits there with you hanging out in the tunnel, eating pizza at Green Mill, and complaining that they still do not have Dr. Pepper on the menu. I look forward to your visit down to St. Louis, and I will take you some place that does serve that Plano, Texas treat.
