Deadlines and Lifelines

All prospective Seminarians may begin taking the ELCEs anytime on or after May 1st of the year prior to enrollment.  Any student looking to enroll in the 2014 school year may now start qualifying on the Old Testament, New Testament, and Christian Doctrine ELCEs.  You may attempt each exam no more than three times.  If you fail an exam, you must wait three days before retaking that exam.  The deadline for passing the exams is April 30th of the intended year of enrollment.  If you intend to enroll for Fall 2014, you must pass the Old Testament, New Testament, and Christian Doctrine ELCE exams by no later than April 30th 2014.  In addition, you will receive a $1000 scholarship if these three exams are passed by the deadline.  Please keep in mind that you are not eligible to take a summer language course (i.e. Summer Greek) unless you have passed all three ELCEs by the deadline.

The deadline for passing the Greek and Hebrew ELCEs is May 31st of the intended year of enrollment, which for Fall 2014 enrollees is May 31st, 2014.  If you do not pass a language exam, you must take the corresponding class at the Seminary.  If you do pass both language exams by the deadline, not only will you receive an additional $1000 scholarship, but you will also avoid paying the $7860 tuition for taking each class.

Please give yourself enough time to properly study the materials for these exams.  The books can be found at these sites, or through Amazon.com:
